【摘要】:TestMethodD1335fortuftbindofpileyarnfloorcoveringsisbeingusedforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments.Comparativetestsasdirectedin5.1.1maybeadvisable.5.1.1Incaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultsusingthistestmethod,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfromtheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestsamplesthatarehomogeneousaspossibleandarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestsamplesshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Theaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingappropriatestatisticalanalysis,andaprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforetestingbegun.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultswithconsiderationtotheknownbias.Thesatisfactoryperformanceofapileyarnfloorcoveringdependstoaconsiderableextentonthemaintenanceofitsoriginalappearance.Inacutpileyarnfloorcoveringaninadequatetuftbindmayresultincompletelossofpileinareasexposedtoseverewear.Inaloopedpileyarnfloorcoveringwithinadequatetuftbindthepileloopsmaybepulledouttoformunsightlylongloopswhichmaybehazardous.FIG.1MetalSpecimenHolder,Cut-AwayType1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementoftheforcerequiredtopullatuftcompletelyoutofapileyarnfloorcoveringsample.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletobothcutandlooppileyarnfloorcovering.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard;thevaluesinch-poundunitsareprovidedasinformationonlyandarenotexactequivalents.IncaseofrefereedecisionstheSIunitsshallprevail.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
