【摘要】:ThisdocumentpresentsthereasoningandjustificationforusingtheB2'=(2/3)*B2inParagraphsNB-3656(b)andNC/ND-3655(b)ofASMESectionIII.ConcernhasbeenexpressedthatsincetheteststhatformpartofthebasisforsettingB2'=(2/3)*B2wereconductedatambienttemperature,theeffectofdynamicstrainagingofcarbonsteelscouldreducetheseismicmarginsattemperaturesinexcessof300°F(150°C).Inresponsetothisconcern,theauthorspreparedthispaperasateamworkingunderthePipingSeismicTaskGroup.Thispaperdemonstratesthat:Fortypicalcarbonsteelunderseismicstrainrateloading,atelevatedtemperature[above300°F(150°C)]andatstresslevelspermittedbythealternativeCodeequation[NB-3556(b)(2)andNB-3556(b)(3)],themargintofailureisatleast1.5,asrecommendedbyDr.R.P.Kennedy.Thus,theuseofB2'=(2/3)*B2resultsinacomponentwithacceptablemargin.TheB2indexitselfisaconservativeestimateofthestressinthecomponent,bothfromthemethodofapplicationintheCode(useforpredictionofseismicstresses)andfromthevalueitself.Thus,theuseofB2'=(2/3)*B2resultsinacomponentwithacceptablemargin.
