【摘要】:ThemethodisapplicabletoproductscorrespondingtothegeneralformulaM2O.xSiO2,wherethevaluesofxliebetween1,5and3,5inthecaseofsodiumsilicatesand1,9and3,9inthecaseofpotassiumsilicates.Becauseofthedifficultyancounteredindissolvingfineparticlesoftheseproducts,thesampleisfirstsievedtoremovethesefines.Theprocedureconsistsindissolutionofthetestportionincarbondioxide-freewater,bytreatmentinanautoclave.Filtrationandweighingoftheinsolublematteronataredfiltercrucible.Dilutionofthefiltratetoagivenvolume,fromwhichaliquotsamplesaretakeninordertocarryoutthedifferentdeterminations.
