【摘要】:Oneofthemajorfactorsintheunsatisfactoryperformanceofanionexchangeresinsistheirfoulingbyorganicmaterial.Knowledgeofthedegreeoffoulingcanbeusedtoassesstheconditionoftheresinandmayindicatetheneedforpretreatmentoftheinfluent,remedialcleaningprocedures,orresinreplacement.Itisrecognizedthatthistestmethodmaynotremoveanddetectcationsloughageproductsordeclumpingagents.Itisnotintendedtoremoveallorganiccompoundsfromtheresin.Sincethechemicalstructuresoforganicscompoundsfoulingtheresinaregenerallyunknownandareexpressedonlyonthebasisoftheircarboncontent,interpretationoftestresultstoformabasisforpredictionsforresinperformanceorcleaningproceduresshouldbeapproachedwithcaution.Samplesmaybetakenbeforeorafterplantregeneration,orboth,dependingonthetypeofinformationdesired.Thisdecisionislefttothejudgmentoftheuser.1.1Thistestmethodprovidesageneralestimateoftheorganicfoulingofananionexchangeresinbasedupontotalorganiccarbonmeasurements.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecifichazardstatement,see8.3.
